Mittens - Monument Valley, UT

I was disappointed to wake up and see that the landscape was shrouded in fog. I had one morning in Monument Valley in winter, and I had hoped to take some photos of a snow-covered landscape that is usually shown in pictures of bright oranges and blues. Moments like this can bring out a stubborn side, and I stood around in the cold for more than an hour hoping for a moment when the fog might lift. Finally, it did, for about two minutes, before dropping down again and covering the valley.
